Our Story
We are a family run farm located in La Pine, Oregon, just 30 miles south of Bend, Oregon. We moved into our 20 acre corner of the high desert in September of 2019 and are loving every minute of Central Oregon. Our mission is to breed purebred Nubian goats for great milk production, structure, and beauty. Our herd is annually tested for CAE, CL, Johne's, and Q-Fever.. When the kids are born, they are given CDT vaccines, disbudded, tattooed and microchipped, registered with the ADGA, and wethered if appropriate.
We began our journey in 2011 with the purchase of 3 purebred registered Nubian does. We were lucky to start out with good producing does with great attitudes. From there, our herd has grown a bit.
One of the endeavors of our farm has been to start into the showing world. We began with attending the Washington County Fair and competing in 4-H and open class. From there we gradually moved to showing in more open class shows including. In 2023mwe attended SYRINGA, NWODGA, Roseburg Dairy goat show, Barn in the USA , Nationals, Deschutes County fair, Josephine County Fair and Oregon State fair . At the 2023 National show we had several does place in the top20., including 10th place dairy herd. We finished 3 champions last year as well. We are excited to continue showing in 2024 and hope to be able to continue competing locally and nationally.
Our other goal has been production. We participate in DHIA milk testing and Linear Appraisal. We are working toward creating a Grade A goat dairy in Oregon; however, there are still quite a few hoops to jump through. One thing we are proud of is our does phenomenal production - making a gallon or more per day. With all of this extra milk, we contribute to the Bend Soap Company and are also starting into the world of herd shares. We value the role of small buisnesses in the community and love working locally.
